Dreamworld on the Gold Coast has confirmed several planned ride maintenance closures for early 2026, along with one major permanent ride closure.
These important works form part of the park’s ongoing maintenance program and long term planning, so guests visiting during this period should be aware that some key attractions will be unavailable.
Here's our breakdown of the confirmed ride closures currently listed for 2026.
Upcoming Ride Maintenance Closures
Tail Spin
- Closes on Tuesday, 27 January 2026
- Re-opens on Thursday, 5 February 2026
The Tail Spin flat ride in Ocean Parade will temporarily close for just over a week while scheduled maintenance is carried out.
Sky Voyager

Sky Voyager, Dreamworld’s flagship flying theatre experience, will close for an extended maintenance period across February and March. The attraction is expected to return just ahead of the Easter school holiday period.
The Gold Coaster
- Closes on Monday, 30 March 2026
- Re-opens on Friday, 3 April 2026
The Gold Coaster will undergo a short maintenance closure at the end of March. The classic steel roller coaster is expected to be unavailable for only a few days before reopening in early April.
Permanent Closure Confirmed for Motocoaster
In addition to temporary maintenance closures, Dreamworld has confirmed that Motocoaster will permanently close on Monday, 2 February 2026.
Opening in 2007, Motocoaster has been a long standing attraction at the park and was one of the first motorcycle themed roller coasters of its kind in Australia. The closure marks the end of nearly two decades of operation for the ride.
Guests wishing to experience Motocoaster one last time will need to visit Dreamworld before its final operating day.
