The world's first Wizard of Oz themed area is coming to Warner Bros. Movie World in 2024.

Featuring a suspended coaster, a boomerang racer and immersive theming, it's set to provide a one of a kind experience for guests.

There will be thematic elements throughout the land including projection mapping, sculptures and facades as you travel along the yellow brick road.

Sea World on the Gold Coast in Australia has confirmed that Leviathan, the new wooden roller coaster, will be opening on 3 September 2022.

It is part of The New Atlantis, a $50 million expansion that will be opening in phases.

The new development will include three new thrill rides; a Top Spin called Vortex, a Sky Flyer named Trident and an impressive wooden roller coaster titled Leviathan.

New launch roller coaster the Big Dipper will open at Luna Park Sydney on December 26.

It will be Australia's tallest and fastest multi-launch coaster and the world’s first inline seating launched roller coaster, with a top speed in excess of 70 kilometres per hour.

The Big Dipper has been manufactured by Intamin, one of the world’s best manufacturers of roller coasters.

Dreamworld’s new roller coaster Steel Taipan is a 1.2km ride that reaches a top speed of 105km/h, delivers a G-force of 3.8 and features 4 inversions.

It is the first triple launch roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere, based on the award-winning Blue Fire at Europa-Park, with some new additions.

The new roller coaster was manufactured by MACK Rides. It features a stall and twisted half pipe at one end of the launch section, and the world’s first spinning seats at the rear of the train.

Luna Park Sydney will re-open on June 26 following a $30 million upgrade including the introduction of 8 new rides.

Additions to the park include a 30-metre high 360° thrill ride, a family roller coaster and 6 children’s rides. A total of 62 shipping containers from various ride manufacturers including Intamin, Gerstlauer and Zamperla ensured the safe arrival of all the rides.

The new multi-launch roller coaster, the Big Dipper, will open in December.

Australia's tallest and fastest 360° swing ride is coming to Aussie World on June 18, the SX360.

The new thrill ride will reach speeds of 80km/h and catapult up to 24 riders 32 metres into the air. It is a pendulum ride with a counter weight and a full inversion 360° arch.  

The multi-million dollar Typhoon 360 has been supplied by the Italian ride manufacturer Technical Park.

Warner Bros. Movie World has announced a limited time only special event Hooray For Hollywood featuring the biggest parade the park has ever seen.

Running from 26 June to 11 July, to coincide with Warner Bros. Movie World’s 30th Birthday, the all new Hooray for Hollywood event will feature the park’s biggest parade ever, a massive all-star cast and exciting Hollywood moments throughout the park.

This new event will be included in a normal admission ticket or annual pass.

Plans are underway for a new $75 million resort at Dreamworld including a hotel and tourist park.

Dreamworld has entered into an agreement with accommodation developer Evolution Group to fund and build the resort adjacent to the park.

The new accommodation offering will include a 4-star 250 room resort-style hotel, 40 bungalows and a 5-star tourist park with 100 powered sites.
