Dreamworld on the Gold Coast has refreshed its planned maintenance calendar for the 2026 season.
Following the completion of several major refurbishments earlier this year, the park has confirmed a new series of temporary closures scheduled for May and June.
These routine works are a standard part of the park’s safety and maintenance programme. Visitors planning a trip during the later autumn and early winter period should take note of the following updates to ensure they can plan their day effectively.
Current and Imminent Reopenings
Several family attractions are currently finishing their maintenance cycles and are expected to return to service shortly:
- Big Red Planes: Expected to resume flights on Sunday 3 May 2026.
- Dreamworld Express: The park’s scenic railway is undergoing works until Saturday 9 May 2026.
Upcoming Maintenance Closures
A variety of family and thrill attractions will be temporarily unavailable throughout May and June for scheduled servicing:
- The Dreamworld Flyer: Closes from Monday 4 May to Thursday 7 May 2026.
- Bananas in Pyjamas Carousel: Unavailable from Monday 4 May until Friday 15 May 2026.
- Belinda’s Tree House: Scheduled for maintenance between Sunday 17 May and Friday 29 May 2026.
- Seabed Splash: Closes on Sunday 31 May and is set to reopen on Friday 12 June 2026.
Long-term and Seasonal Status
The park’s attraction lineup also includes some longer term closures. Serpent Slayer is currently listed for a seasonal closure with an expected reopening date of Thursday 25 June 2026.
Additionally, the WhiteWater World water park remains fully closed for the cooler months. The water park is currently slated to welcome guests back for the summer season on Saturday 19 September 2026.
Dreamworld continues to advise that all maintenance dates are subject to change based on weather conditions or technical requirements. Guests are encouraged to consult the park's website on the morning of their visit for the most up-to-date operational status of all rides and shows.
