Huge news for Aussie theme park fans. Raging Waters Sydney has officially been sold, and the new owners are planning a major shake-up before the gates open for the warmer months.
In a surprise announcement, the team behind Jamberoo Action Park has acquired Raging Waters Sydney from international operator Parques Reunidos. The water park is getting an immediate name change and will now be known as Sydney Action Park.
For Sydney fun-seekers, this is an exciting shift. The park has felt a little stagnant under the previous corporate owners, but Jamberoo is famous for its high presentation standards and excellent family-focused service. Local management taking the reins could be exactly what the park needs to find its spark again.
What Can Guests Expect This Spring?
The park is currently closed for the cooler seasons, but the new management team is already on-site preparing for a massive spring reopening. They have promised significant, noticeable improvements across the property over the coming months.
Matt George, the General Manager of Jamberoo Action Park, shared his excitement about bringing the Jamberoo magic closer to the city.
"What a ride it has been so far, and now we can let the action begin!"
"The opportunity to expand into Sydney is not something that has happened by chance, but comes from years of dedication to guest experience, service standards, and presentation that have become synonymous with Jamberoo Action Park. This dedication has given us both the confidence and capability to take the next step."
"Our vision is simple - we want Sydney Action Park to become an iconic Sydney destination. A place that celebrates everything great about this city: its landmarks, its coastal lifestyle, its energy, and its people. This new brand will bring new character, landscaping, attractions, and events into the park to create the most unforgettable family experience."

This is the third major identity for the Western Sydney water park, which originally opened in 2013 amid massive hype as Wet'n'Wild Sydney before transitioning to Raging Waters Sydney in 2019.
Jamberoo Action Park has long been praised by guests for its beautiful landscaping, well-maintained rides, and distinctive Australian character. If they can replicate that exact energy at the larger site, Sydney Action Park could easily become the premier summer destination families have been waiting for.
The race is now on to get the park ready for spring. We will be keeping a close eye on the promised landscaping overhauls, food upgrades, and event lineups as they happen.
Stay tuned to Theme Parks AU for updates on season pass details, ticket pricing, and the official opening date as soon as they drop.
