Sea World on the Gold Coast has officially confirmed that the Thunder Lake Stunt Show will conclude its run on 31 August 2026.

The announcement brings an end to a seven-year stint for the high-energy production, which has been a staple of the park's entertainment offering at the Sea World Lake Stadium since its debut.

The live show centered on a high-stakes rivalry between the carefree Sun State All Stars and the unruly Bay City River Rats, brought to life through a mix of water skiing, wakeboarding, BMX tricks, and acrobatic stunts.

In a statement confirming the closure, the park highlighted the show's successful history while teasing future plans for the waterfront venue:

"Following an incredible seven-year run, the Thunder Lake Stunt Show will conclude on 31 August as we explore opportunities for Ski Lake’s future."

All guests planning a final visit can catch the remaining daily performances at 1:15 PM and 3:30 PM at the Sea World Lake Stadium, located near the main entrance of the park.

Sea World has not yet revealed what will replace the stunt show, but further announcements regarding the future of the Ski Lake area are expected in the coming months.
