Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast in Australia is set to re-open on July 15 under an industry-approved COVID Safe plan.

The park will be operating at 50% capacity and all guests will be required to download their entry tickets onto the Village Roadshow Theme Parks app for contactless entry and virtual queuing for the rides.

Some of the rides and attractions, experiences, shows, meet and greets, food and retail outlets may be modified or temporarily unavailable.

Warner Bros. Movie World operational changes:

  • Guests will need to adhere to 1.5 metre physical distancing throughout the park.
  • There will be increased sanitisation of high touch points throughout the park.
  • To encourage physical distancing, the Streets Star Parade will not be showing.
  • Seating in the theatre and outdoor stadiums will comply with physical distancing and will mean there is a reduction in capacity.
  • Temporary removal of some of the shows. There will be additional roaming and roving entertainment.
  • Changes to character meet and greet opportunities and locations to ensure physical distancing.
  • Removal of water fountains and printed park maps.
  • It is a mandatory requirement that guests download the Village Roadshow Theme Parks app and load their entry tickets.
