Dreamworld’s new roller coaster Steel Taipan is a 1.2km ride that reaches a top speed of 105km/h, delivers a G-force of 3.8 and features 4 inversions.

It is the first triple launch roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere, based on the award-winning Blue Fire at Europa-Park, with some new additions.

The new roller coaster was manufactured by MACK Rides. It features a stall and twisted half pipe at one end of the launch section, and the world’s first spinning seats at the rear of the train.

Taipans are large, fast-moving and highly venomous snakes. They have been referred to as Australia's deadliest snake, which makes it a great choice for the name of the new ride.
